Summary: The Manager, People Operations will focus on managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, fostering a positive employee experience throughout the lifecycle. This individual will manage talent acquisition operations, employment operations, onboarding, offboarding, policy development and execution, employee change operations, and other operational functions within Human Resources. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Trusted HR Partner
- Serves as a trusted Human Resources advisor, providing guidance within established policies and procedures.
- Partnering with all areas of Human Resources to ensure the optimization of people processes across the department. Ensures all processes for designated areas are documented within SOPs.
- Partners with department leadership to align employee experience with business goals and objectives.
- Manages inter-departmental and cross-functional projects as assigned. Ensures they are completed within defined deadlines.
- Talent Acquisition Operations
- Manages the optimization, execution, and compliance of the talent acquisition operations lifecycle for full-time employees and contract staff.
- Manages headcount operation working with the Director, Human Resources and the Human Resources Business Partners to ensure accuracy. Acts as liaison with Finance, ensuring accurate data.
- Partners cross functionally with the Human Resources Business Partners and management to ensure the candidate experience meets Supernus's expectations.
- Manages the new hire process partnering with other Human Resources team members and other cross-functional teams to optimize the employee experience.
- Partners with Manager, HR technology to be able to build and deliver talent acquisition metrics and data to management. Partners with the Manager, HR Technology to ensure talent operations strategy is executed through the applicant tracking system.
- Manages contract employment operations, working with Human Resources Business Partners, management and cross-functional partners on the process.
- Develops and executes processes to ensure all cross-functional partners have the information they need for successful onboarding and compliance.
- Employment Operations
- Manages all employees change processing within the system, ensuring that the system is accurate for reporting, internal audit, and payroll.
- Manages the cross functional review and updating of all Company HR polices including the employee handbook to ensure timely review, execution and communication of Company policies and procedures. Ability to research, draft, update and create new policies under the guidance of Human Resources Leadership.
- Manages the posting and distribution and tracks acknowledgements of certain annual notices and policies to employees. (i.e., handbooks, etc.)
- Partner with the Manager, HR technology on employee data and the execution of the Record Retention Policy, ensuring that it is executed for both electronic and physical files. Owner of the physical file room and maintenance.
- Manages the completion of all required annual background checks and the background check process for new hires. Partners with Human Resources Business Partners on employment decisions based on background checks.
- Manage employment verifications working with payroll to ensure accurate and timely completion following all applicable Company policies. Manages the response to unemployment claims.
- Manages the I-9 process and work authorizations for the Company, ensuring compliance with applicable law. Works with Human Resources Business Partners on employment decisions based on work authorization status.
- Manages distribution and communication of all legally required postings for employees.
- Budget
- Partners with Senior Management on all aspects of the budget and act as liaison to Accounting/Finance.
- Manages the department expense tracking working with the department's Executive Assistant.
- Manages Third Party Billing for Talent Acquisition ensuring contract guidelines are being followed and agencies are being paid.
- Prepares quarterly reforecasts and makes discretionary decisions under the guidance of Senior Management.
- Human Resources Cross Functional Partnership
- Supports the Director, Human Resources managing employee engagement and other department activities.
- Manages the creation and execution of employee surveys including but not limited to exit interviews, etc.
- Manages the creation and execution of employee HRBP and People Operations communications, policy communications, other employee communications.
- Manages the support of Human Resources Business Partner team in projects and initiatives.
- SOX Compliance: Manages and provides the response to ELC for SOX-404 Compliance.
- Other operational functions and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Proactively manages, coaches, and mentors Generalists to ensure all projects are completed timely.
- Provides guidance to other dotted line team members.
Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works on a variety of Human Resources Projects as needed.
- Providing operational management support for mergers and acquisitions.
- Serves as back-up reviewer for Director, HR for Equity Uploads.
Knowledge and Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 6+ years related experience or High School Diploma with minimum 8+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience within a corporate setting highly preferred.
- Experience in Talent Acquisition Operations and Onboarding Required.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross functional projects and navigating through ambiguity.
- Exposure in a variety of aspects of Human Resources, including Benefits and Compensation highly preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of employment law.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise good judgement when analyzing problems for resolution.
- High degree of professionalism to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information, with tact and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Compensation: At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $100,000 to $125,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs. Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
