Manager - Health, Safety & Environment

What this job involves

We are seeking a Manager of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) to join our Account team as a key member responsible for all HSE requirements and activities. You will serve as the primary point of contact for HSE matters, communicating needs and results to the Account Leadership Team while maintaining comprehensive documentation and regulatory compliance across all account locations. This role involves developing and refining JLL's HSE culture and training programs, managing incident reporting and investigations, and ensuring compliance with all HSE operational requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE requirements and activities for the account, communicating HSE needs and results to the Account Leadership Team
  • Maintain documentation describing the HSE program (playbooks, procedures, etc.) and records required by JLL, regulation, and the client
  • Complete and maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account locations
  • Create and maintain a regulatory compliance register for each account location
  • Develop the account training matrix; manage and assign online training requirements; and provide training/presentations on specific topics applicable to account employees
  • Ensure that accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events are captured, with data managed and reported appropriately
  • Manage OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for the account and serve as the Account's Administrator for the JLL AIMS (Accident & Incident Management System)
  • Participate with operating sites to lead or support investigations of HSE events, analyze root causes, support/track implementation of effective corrective actions, and prepare communications to share lessons-learned across account operations
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all HSE Sections of the Operational Compliance Program (OCP)
  • Support environmental compliance efforts as specified in the JLL/client Master Service Agreement (MSA)/Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Support the HSE Americas team in rolling out new compliance and best management practices programs across the account
  • Travel periodically to various operations sites to investigate events or problems, as well as attend various meetings (estimated 20% to 30% travel)

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HSE experience
  • Broad-based knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations
  • Proven record of success with project management skills for balancing multi-site activities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven record of making presentations and providing effective training
  • Ability to effectively and cooperatively interface with peers, colleagues and clients
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and ability to employ intelligent flexibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field (degree may be waived if >7 years' experience or hold HSE professional certification)
  • Relevant professional HSE certification(s)

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-330p

Compensation: 126k-154k + 10% annual target bonus (included)

Estimated compensation for this position:

126,500.00 - 154,880.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
