Learn more about the UC Office of the President DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW Faculty Affairs and Academic Programs (FAAP) is home to systemwide academic programs and faculty initiatives that contribute to policy development and management of programs in support of thriving academic careers at the University of California. We provide faculty and students with opportunities to study and work in Washington, DC, Sacramento and internationally in over 40 countries around the world through the UC Center Sacramento and UC Washington Center, as well as UC Education Abroad Program. FAAP also houses the UC Press and California Digital Library which offer publication, media, and digital services available to the UC community as well as to California and to the world. POSITION SUMMARY The Project Policy Analyst provides comprehensive administrative leadership and project management support to the office of the Vice Provost, Faculty Affairs and Academic Programs. This role provides executive level analytical and planning support that ranges from managing and coordinating the Vice Provost's calendar, to project support advancing strategic priorities, committees, task forces and advisory groups, and internal and external communications. This role conducts complex analyses requiring knowledge of University administrative organizations, policies, procedures, and practices. Assumes responsibility for coordination of projects initiated by FAAP, provides project support, and analysis of results. Oversees the management of FAAP office operating procedures, file management and issue identification, assignment and coordination of provost and presidential correspondence requests. Takes initiative on projects and tasks. Uses discretion with confidential information and assures timely follow up and completion of projects.This is a hybrid position with three (3) days onsite in Oakland, CA.
