We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Background* Screening Processor* to join our remote team. In this role, you will assess applicant data across multiple databases and systems to deliver accurate and timely background screening reports. Your work will directly support clients in making informed decisions about prospective tenants, employees, and other individuals. Key Responsibilities * Handle 10-15 inbound calls/day via a round-robin system. * Respond to incoming client emails and run requested reports. * Monitor and process reports in the pending queue, including: * Criminal history (state, county, federal, nationwide) * Credit reports * Employment and other verifications * Review reports for accuracy and false positives, conduct research, and ensure high-quality data delivery. * Support tenant screening for landlords, realtors, and property owners. * Assist clients in interpreting credit reports using scorecard summaries. * Ensure all reports are properly stored under each customer's account. * Make verification calls throughout the day as needed. * Maintain active monitoring of email and report queues while managing calls. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Experience talking on the phone (15-20 calls daily) * Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, etc. * Someone who enjoys research - required to provide the best results to the client * Strong familiarity with computer applications and software systems * Analytical ability to develop reports and supporting documentation * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documents related to the position * Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
