*Description*
The Buyer / Planner I is responsible for the efficient execution of purchase orders and work orders required to drive MRP within the manufacturing process. Role will work closely with the Supply Chain, Production, Sales, and Inventory teams to streamline the flow of materials and communication for both internal and external customers. *Work with external suppliers to obtain the best price and delivery for all required commodities including raw materials, MRO, and facilities maintenance. *Execute and maintain purchase orders according to the demand driven by ERP system. *Create work orders that facilitate the efficient flow of materials between processes. *Schedule and release work orders according to sales demand and shop floor capacity. *Maintain item master with min/max point, primary vendor information, and standard cost. *Communicate urgent requirements to the appropriate personnel and offer support to meet the needs. *Communicate potential outages our points of exposure to executive management team in a timely manner to avoid production stoppage. *Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity. *Work with logistics team to ensure all inbound shipments are routed optimally to reduce cost and transit times. *Able to work within shared documents (i.e., spreadsheet and TEAMS groups) to update the team with information pertinent to your scope of work. *Other duties to be assigned to support SFE Group business success. *Skills* Excel, College Degree, manufacturing industry, ERP, syteline, Planner, Procurement *Top Skills Details* Excel,College Degree,manufacturing industry,ERP,syteline *Additional Skills & Qualifications* The ideal candidate would be someone who's... *an expert in Excel, *comfortable with negotiating /procurement raw material/finished goods ex: sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, expediting delivery, *has project management skills ex: managing PO's, delivery schedules, accuracy in pricing/product specifications, forecasting stock levels, etc.. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
