This is ahybrid position based out of Feeding America's Chicago office location. At Feeding America, we believe in offering a flexible work environment. Employees can be in the office an average of 2 days a week (when not travelling for work) and work from home on other days. Employees also have access to a 30-day "work anywhere" program during the course of each calendar year that can be combined with PTO and/or holidays.

The Opportunity

The Manager, Learning Integration supports specific functional and priority areas across Feeding America National Organization and the Network Department by developing learning assets in alignment with a knowledge management and learning comprehensive strategy for the Feeding America network. The Manager, Learning Integration supports their assigned subject matter experts to use learning as a strategy to achieve their team and department goals. The Manager, Learning Integration is charged with delivering the highest quality learning resources, educational assets and experiences to those who serve people facing hunger; specifically, webinars, e-learning courses, templates, guides and tools as well as curation of network examples.
Compensation

Here at Feeding America national organization, equality is central to our mission and is an integral part of our compensation policies and structures. As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions.

Salary Range: $96,000 - $101,000 Based on Experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Under the direction of the Director, Knowledge Management and Learning Integration, support the design and facilitate cross-functional workgroups that co-create Learning Continuums and Learning Plans and related activities which align equally to the needs of network staff and Feeding America's strategic priority. Work with SMEs to create and deploy annual learning plans for key functional areas.
  2. Support the comprehensive enterprise-wide knowledge management and learning integration strategies by aligning designated functional and priority area learning goals to the overall organization's learning strategy.
  3. Collaborates with team colleagues on these strategies and creates deliverables in support of the strategies as directed by and in collaboration with the Director, Knowledge Management and Learning Integration.
  4. Support the documentation of processes for Learning Continuums, Learning Plans, Content Audits and self-assesments.
  5. Use the Digital Learning Design Model to create learning assets that supports the team, department, and organizational goals.
    • Define: Facilitate and, as appropriate, secure experts, both within the network and external to it, to contribute to assessing learner needs and desires and curate content.
    • Design: Partner with content experts to determine the learning approach and then design and develop digital learning assets.
    • Deploy: With supervisor, determine the appropriate avenue to deploy the asset and partner with subject matter experts and Communications staff to promote the asset to network members.
    • Assess: Review learning data and identify insights and recommendations for subject matter experts to consider when continuing to curate and refine the learning assets available.
  6. Supports learning design requests and the overall Learning Team with other assignments as needed and as directed by the Director, Knowledge Management and Learning Integration.
  7. Ensure offerings embrace inclusivity and accessibility as a core tenet, reinforce and extend in-person and live virtual learning engagements, strengthen the impact of capacity building services such as institutes, create pathways for deepening engagement of network members over time, and support opportunities for relationship building.
    Required Experience and Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in training, teaching, designing, and implementing learning experiences, and/or developing learning tools and resources. Strong candidates for this role include but are by no means limited to those who, for instance, have experience in educator and corporate training, designing, and executing lesson plans, or creating online user experiences for students, customers, or colleagues.
    • Experience in developing digital learning assets, e-learning, and content.
    • Experience with adult education program design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
    • Experience with Learning Management systems and Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline authoring tools preferred.
    • Proficiency using Adobe InDesign preferred.
