The Bridgewater Virginia electrical components production team has an opening for a Wire Shop Technician. The electrical production team's mission is to produce high quality electrical system components while supporting multiple customers.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

As a Wire Shop Technician, you will be:

  • Inspecting products for compliance with drawings

  • Operating a laser wire marking machine

  • Building complex wire harness assemblies and junction boxes

  • Building and testing coax assemblies

  • Installing electrical equipment and harness assemblies on aircraft and in facilities

  • Working with electrical engineering and mechanical engineering teams to review drawings and provide production feedback

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1 - 3 years of prior relevant experience.

  • 1 to 3 years of electrical harness and junction box fabrication.

  • Strong electrical system troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to read and apply wiring diagrams.

  • Ability to read and apply mechanical assembly drawings.

  • Experience with proper application of wiring related tooling including contact crimpers, wire strippers and wire processing machinery.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aircraft electrical systems training, military or civilian.

  • 1 to 3 years of work in and around aircraft including facilities that have an active tool control and FOD control program.

  • Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment including multimeters, milliohm meters, video cable test equipment and vector network analyzers.

  • Experience operating laser wire marking equipment.

  • Experience with quality control program implementation.
