The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, oversee negotiations of Product Supply Agreements, and execute associated contractual matters. An ideal candidate will have high ambition to grow with Microsoft and MDO.We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of success in dynamic and demanding environments. The ideal individual will demonstrate an ability to resolve challenges through logical analysis, evaluating alternatives, adaptability, strategic planning, and effective communication-essential for guiding cross-functional teams through sourcing activities. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a market leading sourcing strategy in the Mechanical Engineering category via full market knowledge, supplier rationalization, predictable and industry leading commodity pricing plan, and total cost of ownership (TCO) cost modeling through transparent supplier relationship management.Secure components and/or services in the assigned category, which will provide competitive advantage in both technology and cost for Microsoft.Deliver most aggressive and closest-to-the-pin costing and projections, with the ability to stand up to the most aggressive alternatives, doubts, and scrutiny.Drive change management to continuously improve efficiency and performance via repeatable processes, people growth, and elimination of work duplication.Business owner of the category and component supplier relationships, including the management and negotiation of contractual agreements and related negotiations and executions.Develop supplier capabilities and drive roadmap visibility across Microsoft hardware businesses.Achieve established commitments on total cost results, supply, quality and compliance adherence, and on-time delivery.
