What You Do:

  • Knowing how to read an insurance explanation of benefits so they can verify the claim was processed correctly and it was posted to the Matrixcare system correctly
  • Knowledge of insurance websites and how to look up a claim to determine if it was received and processed
  • Contacting the insurance company regarding unprocessed/unpaid claims
  • Understanding of what needs to be done to get claims corrected and submitted (if the claim was denied)
  • Basic computer skills to find information on the accounts that will be needed to make the telephone calls and make notes on account

Requirements:

  • Insurance experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools, document management systems, and office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support office operations.
