About the Role


This position is responsible for preparing drawings and documentation, fabricate tools, equipment and prototypes, and conduct experiments and tests.



Your Key Responsibilities


Product & Process Documentation:



  • Modify product and process designs based on defined design and process standards and trade-off curves
  • Create drawings and other documentation in support of product and process design and development
  • Process rework or prototype orders for standard/modified standard product
  • Prepare CAD drawings for new parts, assemblies based on the instructions of others
  • Create correct views and nominal dimensions for parts
  • Read and interpret customer drawings



Testing and Evaluation:



  • Select proper design within criteria established by engineer
  • Build new testing set ups by following instructions of others
  • Perform tests, inspections, and other evaluations of products and processes based on defined procedures and standards and verify/validate procedures and standards for these activities
  • Follow instructions from others to create test reports and trade-off curves
  • Assist in manufacturability of new products
  • Conduct capacity and time studies



Technical Support:



  • Convert customer needs into a set of instructions for production to follow
  • Troubleshoot/repair problems with machines or controls



Administrative Activities:



  • Assemble and create a BOM, routing for standard, or modified standard product
  • Understand and follow all organization and department safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality investigations



Required Qualifications



  • Two-year degree or high-school graduate and related experience (3-5 years)
