Job Description

The Security Command Center (SCC) Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of the SCC. This position is responsible for supervising SCC Specialists, ensuring timely and accurate monitoring, reporting, and escalation of security-related events. The SCC Supervisor fosters a high-performance environment through coaching, training, and operational excellence, and serves as the first point of escalation for SCC personnel. This role focuses primarily on command center operations, data integrity, and incident coordination.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will manage daily administrative tasks including staffing schedules, timesheet approvals, document handling, and incident report oversight.
  • You will promote employee engagement through coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • You will coordinate hiring efforts with the SCC Manager, including resume reviews, interview scheduling, and follow-up activities.
  • You will assist in administering disciplinary actions for SCC Specialists, up to and including termination.
  • You will ensure SCC Specialists monitor live feeds and generate actionable intelligence for internal and external partners.
  • You will maintain compliance with policies and regulations while ensuring staff are trained and operationally ready.
  • You will oversee SCC system functionality and vendor coordination, and remain prepared to perform SCC Specialist duties as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in security operations or emergency services. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a command center or security environment. Experience with video surveillance, access control systems, and incident management platforms.

  • Proficient in the MS Office 365 Suite and SCC-related technologies.
  • Skilled in managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Exercise sound judgement, think critically, and respond quickly and effectively.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local security regulations.
  • Prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting, problem solving and escalation.
