Summary The Systems Engineer is responsible for installing and configuring hardware, monitoring and troubleshooting all systems in the data centers, public and private clouds, and remote offices. The role will implement and maintain a cost-effective virtualized infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, network infrastructure and services platform including: server buildouts, VDI & virtual provisioning, cloud service deployments, and data backup and retention. The Systems Engineer will strategically execute infrastructure goals, under the guidance of the Systems Engineer Manager and coordinate such goals with other groups throughout the firm to ensure systems meet Firm business needs, policies, and guidelines. This position requires the ability to work with users of varied technical ability and have strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. The role also requires the Systems Engineer to be available for scheduled on-call duties during non-business hours and be available to work occasional nights and weekends.
