Position Title: Priming Tech
Wage: starting at $17.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm We are seeking a Priming Technician to join a great company's seed enhancement team in Waverly, NE. This role involves handling various seed species to improve earliness, uniformity, and vigor in germination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with a strong work ethic and flexibility to work varied shifts in support of a 24/7 operation. Priming Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate heavy equipment and machinery, including fork trucks, pallet jacks, mixers, augers, and overhead cranes. - Calculate, monitor, evaluate, and adjust seed moisture content. - Use gram, pound, and kilogram scales to obtain precise weights. - Measure and mix seed, media, and chemical additives per specific work orders. - Accurately monitor and record seed and room temperatures, and make necessary adjustments. - Document observations of normal or abnormal seed conditions during priming. - Complete daily logs with accuracy and attention to detail. - Follow written and verbal instructions effectively. - Adhere to all workplace policies, procedures, and safety regulations. - Comply with state and federal safety standards.
