Position Title: Forklift Operator/Material Handler
Wage: $18-$20/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm Precision. Power. Performance. As a key player in both the warehouse and production floor, you're the engine that keeps operations moving. Forklift Operator/Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all safety and quality guidelines - Operate all warehouse equipment, pallet jacks, forklifts, stretch wrappers, etc. - Pick customer orders - Load outbound trucks - Unload inbound trucks - Meet all department sanitation standards - Report on defective ingredients or machinery - Accurately record warehouse bin transfers using scan guns - Assist with receiving and shipping paperwork Forklift Operator/Material Handler Requirements: - Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly - Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on your feet - Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to handle materials and equipment - Good manual dexterity for handling small components and measuring instruments - Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures - Proven communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; strong ability and willingness to problem-solve - Previous manufacturing experience required; previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and PPE requirements - Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus - Knowledge of manual/power jack, stand-up and sit down forklift operation - Basic reading and math skills - Basic computer skills - Ability to lift 55 pounds on a continuous basis QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
