Position Title: Extrusion Technician - 12 Hour Days
Wage: $25.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm (2-2-3 Schedule) Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Extrusion Technician at a company in Janesville, WI. This is a direct hire position for 12-hour day shift. Apply now! Extrusion Technician Responsibilities: - Set extruder operating parameters - Inspect quality and correct any defects in the finished product - Notify appropriate personnel when extruded product fails to meet standards - Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures and amounts, dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients - Operate controls to adjust machine functions such as regulating air pressure or die gaps - Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine materials, ingredients, procedures, components, settings and adjustments for extruding plastic sheet - Examine, measure and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as micrometers or scales - Record and maintain production data such as meter readings and quantities, types and dimensions of materials produced - Move materials, supplies, components and finished product - Troubleshoot equipment and production issues - Follow documentation procedures and ensure paperwork is complete Requirements for Extrusion Technician: - 3-5 years of sheet extrusion experience preferably running clear or opaque PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) for thermoforming applications - Knowledge of making adjustments to the extrusion process including manipulating die bolts to make sheet gauge adjustments and making extrusion process adjustments to control sheet gauge, width and finish. - Knowledge of reading gauges including a digital caliper and micrometer - Knowledge of the blending, crystallizing and drying process - Understanding of GMP, AIB and ISO procedures - Able to stand for duration of shift - Able to bend to floor regularly - Able to reach overhead. - Able to lift 75 pounds regularly - Able to type, adjust machine controls and use hand tools - Able to read written instructions and perform data entry - Able to hear machine malfunctions and communicate in a loud environment - Good communication skills janesvilleresumes@qpsemployment.com IND028 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
