Network Engineer (2025-0112)

We are actively seeking a Network Engineer with a current TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join our Network Services Division in Herndon, VA. The qualified individual will have a minimum of 16 years' experience with a Bachelor's Degree (14 years' with a Master's) in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following...
Technical Skills
*In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc)
*Understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation
*Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs)
*Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
*Familiarity with network virtualization and software definite networking (SDN)
Experience
*Adept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networks.
*Experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment.
*Proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance.
Subject Matter Expertise
*In depth knowledge of specific network technologies such as:
oRouting and switching
oNetwork security (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection)
oCloud networking e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
oSoftware-defined networking (SD)
oAbility to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
oExperience with creating technical documentation, such as design documents, implementation plans and technical notes
oSkills in network protocols
*Routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, etc.
*Switching protocols such as STP, LACP, VTP, etc.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
Certifications:
*CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification
*Advanced Certifications such as:
oCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or
oCCIE Cisco Certified Internetwork
oJuniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or
oJuniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)
oAmazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
