Responsibilities
ECS is seeking a Facilities Team Leader to join our Mid-Atlantic Facilities team in Richmond, VA. This job is focused on planning daily technician schedules, helping technicians grow, and working with project managers. This is not a client-facing role. The work is inside the company. You will help make sure technicians and yourself are busy and projects are covered. Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Facilities technicians managing day-to-day operations of the team with consideration to financial performance.
- Oversee and coordinate the schedules and work of technicians.
- Periodically review work documentation and ensure completeness.
- Train and supervise both existing and new technicians.
- Maintain technician qualifications database and conduct field audits for quality and safety.
- Perform daily communication with technicians, project managers, and general contractors.
- Participate in marketing, client relationships, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Provide assistance to the Project and Department Managers when required.
- Assist with project management as experience and project needs dictate.
- Perform technician job duties as needed.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; 2 year technical degree in related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related specialty and/or Facilities Technician experience or equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education required
- Experience with ECS systems and procedures preferred
- Two Facilities certifications required
- Professional certifications (such as NRCA/IIBEC, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector) preferred
- If driving, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to perform basic building envelope quality assurance and envelope testing, and have a working knowledge of more advanced testing techniques and equipment
- Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office
- Understanding of technical testing and evaluation processes
- Must be organized and able to work within and help improve existing policies and procedures
- Must be able to occasionally lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Must be comfortable working at heights
