What to Expect

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager for Battery Recycling. The goal is to develop a robust, agile, and efficient supply chain that facilitates cost-effective production of Tesla's products and drives circularity in the supply chain. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proven ability to successfully navigate complex and ambiguous situations, lead projects from start to finish, and communicate clearly and effectively to foster cross-functional collaboration.


What You'll Do
  • Own the commercial strategy and execution of the Battery Recycling supply chain, including developing business models, identifying partners, negotiating deals, and operationalizing contracts
  • Drive collaboration and strategic alignment with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Logistics, Operations, and other internal groups to optimize Tesla's Battery Recycling supply chain
  • Prepare and present business plans, market conditions, cost models, and policy risks
  • Monitor relevant industry trends/news and supplier performance to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management, preferably in battery metals and/or materials
  • Ability to engage with and lead a cross-functional team
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment, develop and execute strategies, and drive creative solutions
  • Ability to integrate commercial, technical, and legal concepts into contracts and drive the contract negotiations from origination to execution
  • Ability to collaborate well with Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and suppliers to manage supply chain programs
  • Understanding of metals markets, commodities & batteries, and battery supply chain

    Expected Compensation
    $82,800 - $189,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
