The Sr. National Account Manager (Sr. NAM) will be the lead supplier-facing representative responsible for managing and growing the Walmart account. This includes developing strategic relationships with Walmart's Buyer, Replenishment, eCommerce, and Merchandising teams; driving category growth, owning the P&L, managing forecasting, promotions, product placement, and trade investments while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver both top-line revenue and margin goals. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and execution of the Walmart account strategy in alignment with company goals across distribution, shelf space, pricing and merchandising.
- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP), Line Reviews, modular/shelf space planning, and seasonal/innovations plans.
- Build deep, trusted relationships with Walmart's Merchant/Buyer teams, replenishment leaders, eCommerce, etc and serve as the primary point of escalation for account-level issues.
- Identify growth opportunities and develop/manage account-specific promotional plan, coordinating with finance, trade marketing, marketing and sales management to align with brand strategies and advertising plans as appropriate.
- Own pricing strategy, manage trade spend, deductions, co-op funds to optimize margin.
- Deliver against annual revenue, volume, profit, and share targets.
- Build accurate monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts and monitor forecast accuracy.
- Partner with regional marketing to ensure feedback is incorporated into the global product road map.
- Conduct business reviews of accounts and present them as appropriate to management.
- Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and trends, through own field sales research and sharing of information with internal partners
- Utilize fact-based selling skills based in the fundamentals of the 4P's to develop and present programs that focus on not only, Spectrum Brands growth, but category and overall retailer growth
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
- 7+ years direct sales/field experience with a major retailer.
- Experience with Walmart-specific tools and processes.
- Strong analytical skills - ability to interpret sales, forecast, inventory, and promotional data
- Proven P&L management skills - trade/promotional budget, margins, pricing strategies, cost control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects and timelines.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
