Summary/Objective

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) training program is an integrated, multi-platform system for training pilots, maintainers, and intelligence personnel from the U.S. and partner nations. The program emphasizes an immersive, simulated environment to provide cost-effective and realistic training before students ever touch a live aircraft.

Essential Functions and Requirements

  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods for production-level training hardware and software.
  • Develop manufacturing test procedures using hardware drawings and system integration documentation.
  • Arrange for the necessary equipment, labor, and schedules for testing.
  • Collect and analyze test data to identify and define necessary changes to equipment, procedures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with production and development teams to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Support IPRs, IPTs and related testing events.

Specific Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and work experience will all raster types (spectral based) and the software applications (Global Mapper, Photoshop, ESRI and ERDAS products) that support them.
  • Mid-level knowledge of scripting languages would be beneficial.

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience with training simulators.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian web-based tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with aircraft and airfield systems.
  • Schedule flexing.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This is a lab space-based work environment. Daily onsite work is required.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science).

Experience with hardware (servers, switches, I/O modules, interface panels, image generators) and software (Linux, Windows, VMware).

Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, including computer rack cabling, hard drive cloning, and software licensing.

Excellent communication, technical, and analytical skills.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
