What You'll Do:
Budgeting & Execution of volume objectives
- Develop customer specific annual budgets by various product groups and categories.
- Establish priorities and work goals to achieve annual objectives
- Achieve Sales budgets in total and by product groups.
- Manage trade spending within approved budgets.
- Responsible for all aspects of trade spending to include approval of all trade programs to managing customer deductions.
- Accountable for response to inquiries from internal and external customers
- Develop proficiency in CRM and Power BI software systems
Customer Visits and Follow up
- Visit markets, customers & brokers routinely, minimal expectation would be quarterly unless specific circumstances dictate frequency
- Prepare customer business reviews
- Review broker objectives with broker to evaluate performance and effectiveness of trade promotions and overall sales
- Present category and consumer insights with customers and brokers
- Present new business opportunities
- Visit stores to check distribution, uncover opportunities and competitive news
- Create written market recap communication to brokers and Red Gold management per each market and customer visit
- Maintain CRM software with daily activities and latest contacts
Establishment of Broker Work Goals
- Develop specific understanding of the Red Gold Brands annual plan with both volume and trade spending objectives.
- Manage the annual process of creating and approving specific customer programs with accountability for all aspects of the process.
- Work within the total Broker organization from Senior management to Retail sales force to discuss and develop the Red Gold brand business.
Develop Region Strategies
- Annual objectives that parallel the company priorities and departmental objectives
- Detail the tasks for meeting objectives & strategies
Identify Opportunities and Issues
- New products
- New customers
- Distribution voids
- Potential Customer Issues
- Competitive Information
Requirements for Success:
- 4-year degree in Business Administration or Marketing
- Over 5 years in any of the following experience:
- Grocery Sales Private Label and/or Branded Sales
- Broker Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of food industry, Red Gold products, shipping procedures, sales and marketing strategies
- Fluent in understanding and presenting consumption information, sales trends and or other data driven information to impact the Red Gold business.
- Computer Skills - Data mining internal sales information system, MS Office, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and CRM.
- Able to travel via car and/or plane
