Job Summary:

VersaTech is seeking an End-User Training and Adoption Specialist to support the deployment of Appian's Government Acquisition Management Suite (GAMS) for a Federal client. This role is critical to ensuring procurement and acquisition staff successfully adopt the new solution through clear, engaging, and role-based learning experiences.


The Specialist will design and deliver a range of adoption-focused resources--training plans, videos, step-by-step guides, classroom sessions, and "train-the-trainer" workshops--helping end-users build confidence and proficiency. This is a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment where the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality training materials is essential.


Salary: $105,000 to $115,000 depending on experience. Discretionary annual bonus based on performance.


Location: McLean, VA at Appian Headquarters


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute role-based training and adoption plans tailored to Appian GAMS workflows, including delivery schedules, content formats, and target audiences.
  • Create engaging training content, including guides, videos, eLearning modules, and quick-reference materials that comply with Section 508 standards.
  • Deliver live, recorded and virtual instructor-led training sessions for diverse end-user groups, including procurement staff, administrators, and leadership.
  • Conduct "train-the-trainer" workshops and provide scalable resources for agency training leads.
  • Partner with the project team to ensure training aligns with GAMS milestones, sprint cycles, and deployment schedules.
  • Conduct user testing of training materials to validate clarity and effectiveness; update content based on user feedback and usability insights.
  • Review and revise training and help content regularly to align with system updates and product releases.
  • Track and report on training outcomes and adoption metrics to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with developers and testers to ensure training materials reflect accurate functionality, workflows, and system behavior.


Expectations & Milestones:


  • Provide timely delivery of training and adoption materials aligned with deployment milestones.
  • Ensure all content is user-friendly, role-specific, and compliant with accessibility standards.
  • Adapt quickly to a fast-paced, iterative rollout environment with shifting priorities.
  • Achieve measurable outcomes, including high training satisfaction scores, improved user proficiency, and reduced help desk requests after training.


Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in end-user training, instructional design, or technology adoption in Federal IT environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create accessible (Section 508 compliant) training content.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience leading both live and virtual sessions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in team-driven environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certifications such as CompTIA CTT+ or ATD CPTD.
  • Experience developing training using Articulate, Captivate, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Appian or other workflow automation/low-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with Federal acquisition or procurement workflows.
