Position: Deputy Program Manager

Location: Ft Gordon, GA

Clearance: TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI poly

Job Description:

Mission Essential is seeking a highly experienced Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to lead and manage a complex, high-visibility program supporting INSCOM. The DPM shall assume all program management responsibilities and tasks in the absence of the PM but is predominantly focused on the tasks outlined below. The DPM creates and manages processes that enable Mission Leads and other contract personnel to focus on daily operations. The DPM is expected to spend 80% of his/her workweek collocated with the bulk of the CME Workforce. The government customer requires the DPM to assume all administrative responsibilities and to alleviate such responsibilities from the Mission Leads. The DPM is required to maintain awareness of support requirements and leverage all available resources to remove distractions and impediments. The following tasks will be performed in conjunction with the PM:

  • Human Resource Management and contract fill-rate
  • Hiring and termination processes
  • Management of nonoperational disciplinary issues
  • Onboarding and in-processing
  • Personnel Status (PERSTAT) reports.
  • Schedule and task performance Oversight
  • Timekeeping and timecard approval
  • Administrative support to Mission Leads and contract workforce

Minimum Education

Must meet one of the following criteria:

  • MA or MS degree in Business, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field AND 10 years of management experience, including 10 years of supervisory experience on U.S. Army or DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services; OR
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field AND 15 years of management experience, including 10 years of supervisory experience on U.S. Army or DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of the intelligence cycle and the analytical process that acts on collection to produce information for intelligence databases and products
  • Knowledge of intelligence oversight and security guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Certification as a Program Management Professional (or equivalent)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required and must be able to obtain CI poly
