Job Description

Position Summary:

Schedules and coordinates shipping flow of work by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Updates daily shipments
  • Consolidates and coordinates customer's shipments per their specifications including required certification copies.
  • Verifies measurements on crates and or pallets before shipping.
  • Prints Shipping labels.
  • Obtains rates from carriers and coordinates trucks for pick up. Also, coordinates with outside vendors for truck availability and schedules for completion.
  • Creates ASN on customers web sites for shipping
  • Generates Bills of Ladings, Export Documents, U.S. Government Application Shipping Documents (DD1659), Canada Customs invoices, Requisitions and Invoice Shipping Documents (DD1149)
  • Responsible for scrap recycling control including but not limited to creating scrap BOL's and notifying corresponding departments of incoming and outgoing rail cars with scrap
  • Participates in lean activities and documents Best Practices.
  • Participates in Daily/Weekly Ship Plan Meetings
  • Coordinates non-shipment activities including raw material receiving, shipment of tooling to and from vendors, and ship plan data input
  • Assists in identifying production material for release to shop floor (VAR electrodes)
  • Communicates with outside vendors regarding processing lead times, capacity and delinquent deliveries
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors and customers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Experience & Education

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.00 to $23.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
