Overview:
Fredrikson & Byron is looking for a fantastic Marketing and Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work alongside our attorneys, supporting key business development initiatives, including the preparation of proposals, pitches, and other critical marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities Include:
* Work with Business Development Managers (BDMs), the Director of Business Development, and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to support strategic business development initiatives.
* Draft, proof, and update compelling, experience descriptions, proposal documents, pitch packets, and other communication materials.
* Maintain and update the firm's CRM, ensuring data accuracy and leveraging the CRM for business development and marketing efforts.
* Assist in the preparation of articles and marketing materials that showcase the firm's services and capabilities.
* Coordinate with various internal teams to gather accurate information and insights to be used in proposals, submissions to legal directories, and client-facing documents.
* Coordinate MBD onboarding of new attorneys.
* Help ensure the timely delivery of high-quality marketing and business development materials.
* Provide overflow support to Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team for event and email campaigns; provide overflow support to Events & Sponsorships team.
* Support long-term functional initiatives as assigned. Examples of such initiatives include an attorney coaching program, an MBD themed professional development curriculum, a lateral attorney onboarding program, a client or industry teams initiative, a seasonal MBD themed challenge, etc.; compile summary reports related to such.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Undergraduate degree plus some professional experience in marketing, communications, or business development.
* Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
* Digital literacy, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, CoPilot or other generative AI, CRM, experience database, website content management systems, email marketing tools, or proposal generating tools.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the firm.
* Availability for hybrid work, with regular in-office presence required.

Desired Qualifications:
* Strong interpersonal, communication, project management and influence management skills.
* Familiarity with legal marketing and business development methods and approaches.
* Ability to prioritize a complex and evolving workflow.
* Proactive service and solution orientation; flexible with change; comfort with ambiguity.

The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $75,000 - $85,000/year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
