Our dynamic and collaborative team is the driving force behind this mission, and we are looking for a skilled Epic Data Integration specialist with expertise querying and analyzing data from Epic's Caboodle and Clarity databases.

As Senior Epic Data Integration Specialist, you will work closely with Medisolv clients to extract, transform and load clinical, financial and administrative healthcare data from Epic Caboodle data warehouses and Clarity reporting databases into Medisolv's data platform which feeds our suite of reporting and analytics products.

What You'll Accomplish - Your Performance Objectives

In your first 30 days, you will:



  • Onboard with the data team to understand workflows, tools, and team dynamics.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in working with and locating key clinical data elements in Epic Caboodle and Clarity databases.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing moderately complex SQL scripts.
  • Become familiar with Medisolv's current Azure-based data infrastructure and Databricks.
  • Learn the existing end-to-end processes from Epic Caboodle and Clarity source data extraction, transformations and load into Medisolv's data models.


In your first 3 months, you will:



  • Learn the Medisolv data model into which Epic data is transformed and made available to Medisolv's suite of applications.
  • Learn how to correct and enhance existing Epic transformation SQL code to meet end-user requirements.
  • Collaborate with other members of the data integration team to provide insight into Epic data reporting best practices.
  • Become familiar with specific electronic clinical quality measure data use cases.


In your first 6 months, you will:



  • Collaborate with other team members to use Databricks to develop sophisticated SQL code and some Python code to transform Epic Clarity/Caboodle sourced data into predefined Medisolv data objects.
  • Assist with optimization of all existing Epic and other EHR Vendor data source transformation scripts.
  • Learn data quality concepts in support of electronic clinical quality measures.


In your first 12 months, you will:



  • Independently use Databricks to develop sophisticated SQL code and some Python code to transform Epic Clarity/Caboodle sourced data into predefined Medisolv data objects.
  • Work on optimizing and validating all existing Epic transformation scripts.
  • Create documentation and define Epic data reporting best practices.
  • Learn how to read and interpret electronic clinical quality measure specifications.

What You Bring - Skills and Experience

Required:



  • 3+ years of experience querying and analyzing clinical and administrative data from Epic Clarity, Caboodle and/or Chronicles data using SQL.
  • One or more of the following Epic Certifications: Clinical Data Model, Access Data Model, Revenue Data Model or other relevant certification.
  • Strong understanding of clinical and administrative EHR documentation workflows and how they translate into the data stored in the Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases.
  • Familiarity with Big Data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data concepts to technical and non-technical team members.


Preferred:



  • Familiarity with clinical quality measures.
  • Familiarity with Python, Scala, Java or R.
