Job Responsibilities

Job Summary

Provides HR leadership and development of HR strategies and initiatives across a large business group. Ensures business goals/HR strategies are aligned and drives implementation across business lines. Provides coaching and support to drive high performance. Executes human capital strategies around organizational design, talent management and culture.

This role is at the core of delivering talent strategies to enable the business for Syneos Health. The HRBP works hand-in-hand with business leaders to ensure that HR strategies are aligned to support and enable business goals. For assigned business units, the Director, Business HR works to: Coach leaders to drive high performance, providing insight based on internal and external trends; Identifies where organization design interventions are required. Partners with the Centers of Excellence to collect data insights and deliver talent strategies aligned to business outcomes. Advocate for employees, drive global engagement (in context of global business) and steward our culture; Be a change agent in support of implementation of global HR strategies (including the HR tiered service model) and global business needs

The Director, Business HR partners with: Regional HR teams to ensure needs are understood and addressed both ways (global business to country and country to global business), that relevant country employee-related trends are reflected in global strategies and that global strategies are implemented across geographies successfully. HR Centers of Excellence to ensure business unit needs are understood and addressed both ways (CoEs to country and country to CoEs). Functional leaders (Legal, Finance, BT, Corporate Communications) to support strategic and operational needs.

Responsible for managing HR activities including but not limited to: global employee engagement initiatives, change management, compensation and benefits, performance management, talent review and succession planning.

Core Responsibilities

- Responsible for the development and execution of HR strategies and initiatives, as well as the day to day HRBP responsibilities*

Help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention and the employee experience. Support leaders and employees, on all strategies related to people in assigned functional/business line teams, managing concepts and appropriate related tasks

- Drive key initiatives and projects in areas such as such as global organization design, diversity, leadership development, and scaling annual talent management processes

- In collaboration with HR leader for Division/Business line:
  • Develops and implements HR approaches to support business unit growth, by evaluating trends and identifying strategies and approaches that will support and enable growth.
  • Owns global engagement and is responsible for pulling through culture and engagement initiatives
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on HR requirements.
  • Senior HR contact for the business unit leadership team, acting as a liaison between the management and Corporate HR
  • Partners with Regional HR to drive implementation of Company-wide projects and change management initiatives
  • Partners with the Regional HR organizations and Global Talent & Development on implementation of talent development activities.
  • Partners with Global Compensation and Benefits on the design and implementation of new programs for assigned business unit.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of HR projects/interventions that result in improving business productivity, efficiencies, employee engagement and retention.
  • Analyses HR metrics and develops approaches with business unit leadership based on findings to increase employee retention and engagement; seeks input from regional HR on local trends as appropriate.
  • Works with business unit leadership to ensure effective cascade of Corporate, Division and business unit messages to reinforce and drive performance, culture and engagement.
  • Works with Executive Recruitment to evaluate and select candidates for executive positions.

Qualifications

- Undergraduate Degree; Graduate Degree and or HR certification preferred*

Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work based on demand; strong problem solving skills
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority
- Experience working in a globally matrixed environment

Salary Range:

$118,700.00 - $207,800.00

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
