JOB SUMMARY
The Psychiatric LCSW-C provides clinical assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for psychiatric patients across inpatient, emergency, and partial hospitalization settings. This role develops and implements care plans in collaboration with patients, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external providers to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective care. The LCSW-C facilitates group, individual, and family therapy, conducts patient screenings, manages utilization review, provides crisis intervention, and advocates for patient needs. Acts as a liaison with payers, physicians, and community resources while supporting program development and continuous improvement initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Deliver age-appropriate psychosocial care and therapeutic interventions.



  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.



  • Conduct intake assessments, clinical evaluations, and crisis interventions.



  • Coordinate discharge planning, referrals, and patient/family education.



  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, external providers, and third-party payers.



  • Provide leadership, consultation, and serve as a resource for psychiatric care.



  • Participate in program development, teaching, outreach, and committees.

QUALIFICATIONS




  • MSW or related Master's degree with coursework in psychotherapy, counseling, or group dynamics.



  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.



  • Current Maryland LCSW-C license.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word; strong interpersonal and communication skills.




Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
