Overview
BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Logistician with 3+ years of experience to work with to conduct Data/Inventory Management in support of the Navy Mission Planning System, at Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. The typical annual salary range for this position is $67,000.00 USD to $102,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
Responsibilities
Data Manager Responsibilities: - Receive and process shipments, maintain inventory databases, develop shipment documentation, package materials for shipment and receiving, and distribute materials to engineering teams - Process, prepare and package documents and media for shipment to other locations and organizations - Correctly mark items to be shipped with the required classification and notices, and coordinate with the destination locations to ensure proper addressing and shipping instructions are implemented - Receive documentation and media from other locations, inventory, report anomalies with shipment, and deliver products to internal codes within the organization - Record and track all outbound and inbound shipments - Perform other duties as directed Inventory Manager Responsibilities: - Property tag and label any procured hardware under $5K - Attain/Assign China Lake property labels for assets over 5K from China Lake to custodians - Coordinate and transfer any hardware to specified owners - Account for and maintain asset's location and ownership - Create and maintain Delivery Records of incoming hardware / assets, Transfer Records, Disposal Records, and Shipping Records - Prepare hardware inventory shipments including required classification and notices, and coordinate with the destination locations to ensure proper addressing and shipping instructions are implemented - Coordinate delivery to requestor after properly accounting for assets - Request return of assets on loan by other contractors/vendors - Provide accuracy of information onto government provided forms - Audit records of all assets under purview on a yearly basis and report status quarterly - Store equipment until transfer or destruction - Maintain Assets to its defined classification - Provide/Maintain procedures specific to denoted tasking above - Provide Property Removal Forms and monitor expiration dates and their renewals Work with CRuD to dispose of assets - The position entails working closely with engineering and configuration management personnel managing data libraries and for the shipment, receipt, and distribution of product related materials
Qualifications
Qualifications: - Between 3 and 10 years of experience, three (3) of which must be directly related to Naval systems - Three (3) years of aircraft systems data management experience is a plus - Demonstrated program experience in the configuration management process - Knowledge of documentation and media configuration management - Experience shipping & receiving documentation and media and provide relevant examples of previous work performed - Specific experience with Navy data management processes and knowledge of DoD security classification marking procedures is a plus
Education BS or BA degree in Engineering, Logistics, Science, or a relevant technical discipline. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant Associate's Degree.
Clearance Condition of employment - The applicant must have and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
