Summary/ Objective: The Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics is responsible for the overall operational administration and management of the regional distribution centers and corporate logistics. This role will develop and implement strategies for improving key performance indicators including productivity, damage, incident rates, overtime, pick rates, and accuracy. This role is responsible for creating and executing an annual operating budget. The Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics will ensure the inventory is accounted for in a safe and efficient manner and establish and maintain workflow processes as necessary to meet corporate goals as well as performance standards. Essential Functions: The Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics will plan and implement strategies to meet outlined goals and fulfill responsibilities, as related but not limited to: Operations
- Oversees the implementation of all warehouse operations, including logistics, scheduling systems, delivery and transportation fleet, safety and security, emergency action plans, and closing procedures.
- Develops and drives culture of accountability through daily assessments and operational evaluation.
- Develop strategies to improve functionality and productivity across all regional distribution centers.
- Directs the activities involved in the efficient movement of products including accurate receipt, storage, space optimization, assignment of resources and avoiding waste or damage.
- Always ensure an accurate inventory of products through a maintained inventory control system.
- Directly accountable for establishing and implementing policies and procedures that help the company meet its daily and long-term business objectives.
- Analyzes trends in technology and assesses the impact of emerging technologies to create efficiencies in distribution warehousing and logistics.
- Assists in the development and implementation of productivity standards and goals in support of the annual operating plan and corporate objectives.
- Develops or directs the creation of metrics to measure the performance of all areas of warehouse and logistics.
- Cultivates a high performance, results-oriented culture by maintaining positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Understands the needs of both internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction and quality service
- Documents program procedures and best practices for internal use, as well as to enable sharing of successful models with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Performs area audits to determine cost effectiveness as well as demand and service capacity.
- Serves as a member of the Leadership team and as such is responsible for providing leadership in decision-making and vision building for the company.
Facilities / Equipment
- Ensures equipment and facilities are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to performance, safety and repair needs.
- Oversees preventative maintenance for delivery fleet vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Suggests replacement schedule for facility systems, equipment, and vehicles.
- Develops and manages the safety programs in conjunction with TekSolv and SYD Safety Committee.

- Follows all safety policies and procedures, including reporting all unsafe acts and behaviors, safety hazards, incidents, or accidents immediately.

- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft office and Warehouse Management Systems.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position is a senior management role and the following team members report directly to the Director of Warehouse Operations & Logistics
- Distribution Center Manager, Central Region
- Distribution Center Manager, West Region
- Distribution Center Manager, Ohio Territory
Work Environment: This job operates primarily in a hybrid environment in both an office and warehouse setting. This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, internet, smart phones, and photocopier, in addition to understanding the functionality and usages of traditional warehouse equipment including RF gun, forklift, palate jack, and wire cutting machinery. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have:

Travel: Some overnight travel is required and the employee can reasonably expect on average 30% overnight travel to meet the demands of the position. Should travel be required a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position. Clearances and Certifications:
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, or related degree.
- Minimum of five years of prior management experience in operational roles.
- Demonstrated senior leadership with strategic, policy, and budget planning experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience with B2B distribution/logistics systems preferred
