About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive team player to join our team as a Property Tax Administrator. In this role, you will prepare and file property tax returns/renditions, process property tax bills, and support ongoing compliance efforts. You'll play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate filings, mitigating compliance risks, and helping improve processes to minimize business disruptions and customer impacts.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and file property tax returns/renditions and make tax bill payments.
  • Review property tax assessments for validity and accuracy.
  • Manage payment and billing of motor vehicle tax bills.
  • Provide internal and external customer service related to tax matters.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, using technology and best practices to increase efficiency.
  • Support audit defense efforts in partnership with the Property Tax Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with IT and other business teams to ensure tax-compliant systems and processes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in tax compliance or related financial operations.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with property tax compliance processes and audit defense.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements.

Location: Owings Mills

The hiring base salary range for this position is $51,600 to $71,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
