Your Tasks

  • Determine project scope, develop investigation plans, and define project specifications (cost, time, sample requirements) by analyzing client input and product construction.
  • Perform and oversee product assessments and component evaluations at client or TUV SUD sites, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (e.g., EN/IEC/UL 62368, 61010, 60335).
  • Conduct technical file reviews, document findings, and prepare client reports in a timely manner.
  • Review product design, engineering, and manufacturing processes, documenting any deficiencies.
  • Act as the principal intermediary between clients and operating areas throughout project lifecycles.
  • Communicate technical issues and project progress with clients and internal teams.
  • Lead meetings with clients to discuss project updates and test-specific issues.
  • Innovate and develop new testing techniques and procedures as needed.


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a laboratory conducting electrical safety testing.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and international electrical product safety standards (preferably for electric vehicle charging, batteries, energy storage systems).
  • Familiarity with test equipment and applicable standards committees.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Project management experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position based in Alpharetta, Georgia.
  • Occasional travel required to client or TUV SUD sites.
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds occasionally; ability to sit, talk, hear, and use hands/fingers for extended periods.
  • Work environment: moderate noise in labs, occasional exposure to higher noise levels in specific areas.
