Your Tasks
- Test and inspect playground equipment and surfacing products for conformity with domestic and international regulations, resulting in test reports and/or certificates of conformance.
- Conduct in-house and in-plant field inspections for various certification programs, including extensive domestic and international travel.
- Schedule, track, and arrange client visitations and travel; manage project logistics and subcontractor coordination.
- Perform on-site quality system and technical assessments of mechanical testing, test personnel, and calibration equipment.
- Conduct various testing for clients and maintain accurate laboratory activity schedules and records.
- Track and control customer test samples per company procedures; conduct special certification test projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with internal and external customers, providing information on standards, test procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and internal information, and ensure a professional and safe laboratory environment in accordance with ISO 17025.
- Maintain proficiency with the latest lab and testing procedures and proper operational procedures of test equipment.
- Perform testing per requirements set out in various domestic and international standards and test procedures, including review of test plans and specifications.
- Track and record time, equipment, and issues for each test; communicate progress to customers and project engineering staff.
- Issue corrective action notices and systematically review client responses.
- Provide input on new equipment selection and development of test fixtures.
- Attend and participate in ASTM and industry-related committee meetings and seminars.
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a mechanical discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in a quality auditor role is beneficial.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic mail.
- Technical, detail-oriented, and exposure to quality assurance systems.
- Experience in a service environment and exposure to project management is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time, plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30-40%.

Additional Information
- Use of general office equipment and specialized testing equipment (impact attenuation equipment, probes, measuring devices).
- Physical requirements: ability to occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, sit, talk, hear, and use hands/fingers; must occasionally lift/move up to 50-100 pounds with assistance.
- Occasional work outdoors in various weather conditions; moderate noise level.
