SUMMARY

The Salesforce Data & Integration Lead will oversee enterprise data management and system integrations across the Alliant Salesforce footprint. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data flows between Salesforce Clouds, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, and core business systems (policy, claims, billing, ERP, data warehouses). This role will also balance hands-on technical delivery with leadership of cross-functional integration initiatives, driving adoption, governance, and ongoing optimization of Salesforce data capabilities. *Travel is required for this role up to 20% frequency. Hybrid work schedule in Alliant Offices - Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; Tampa, FL; Naples, FL; or Atlanta, GA.*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as the subject matter expert for Salesforce data and integrations, including Data Cloud, MuleSoft, APIs, and ETL tools.



Leads design, implementation, and supports integration patterns (real-time, batch, streaming) across Salesforce Clouds and external systems.



Manages and optimizes data ingestion pipelines, transformation workflows, and orchestration of customer and policyholder data.



Ensures data governance, compliance, and identity resolution across Salesforce and connected platforms.



Partners with business stakeholders to translate use cases (e.g., onboarding, claims, renewals, cross-sell/upsell) into integration-enabled Salesforce solutions.



Develops and maintains data flow diagrams, integration specs, data dictionaries, and lineage maps.



Provides hands-on troubleshooting and serves as the escalation point for integration failures, data quality issues, or performance bottlenecks.



Collaborate with architects, admins, and developers to align integrations with the overall Salesforce roadmap.



Mentors junior developers/analysts, setting standards for integration best practices.



Supports roadmap discussions by scoping integration complexity and proposing solution approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience



Four (4) or more years of Salesforce platform experience, including Data Cloud, MuleSoft, or API-led integrations.



Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant Certification



Salesforce Application Architect



Salesforce Platform Data Architect



MuleSoft Integration Architect or Developer


SKILLS

Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis mindset coupled with a consultative approach.



Strong technical skill set including SQL, ETL tools or scripting (Python/JavaScript), Data Cloud transformation logic



Ability to lead integration workshops, align business and IT stakeholders, and communicate technical issues clearly.



Proficient with marketing automation/activation technologies and integrations such as Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, APIs/Web services



Proficient with cloud ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP) as source or destination for customer data



Knowledge of Salesforce integration capabilities (MuleSoft, Change Data Capture, Platform Events, External Services)



Excellent with real-time streaming tools (Kafka, Kinesis).
