Overview

The Material Services Organization is searching for a highly motivated problem solver, with a passion for knowledge capture and project management, to fulfill this program representative role. This position is responsible for managing all work related to the Digital Enterprise and integrated product development environment (IPDE) within the Material Services organization This includes strategic planning of overall development plan including requirements development, implementation planning, project execution, capability validation, procedure development, and user training to achieve proficiency.

This work includes becoming a strong advocate for the Material Services Organization ensuring changes to our enterprise systems support successful execution of our daily activities.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Resolving existing and emergent gaps in electronic tools/systems
  • Developing approaches and methodology for successful integration of the Digital Enterprise toolset (e.g., NX/Teamcenter and integrations to/from)for all current and future programs
  • Support systems and integration points that support all current and future programs
  • Representing Material Services interests in development of the next generation of product development and execution tools
  • Oversee digital toolset strategy in functional areas by supporting software solutions based on business need

The selected individual will be required to communicate frequently with stakeholders and senior leadership within Electric Boat and in external organizations, including HII-NNS, NAVSEA and suppliers. This person will also need to be highly skilled with prioritization and consensus building to achieve overall enterprise objectives.



Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or Engineering
  • Understanding of EB's engineering, design, planning, and supply chain activities and their associated applications (CPC, Teamcenter, MRPII, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Management, or Engineering
  • Experience in Project Management, including metrics


Skills

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing complex projects/initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience with the implementation and management of new business systems
  • Knowledge and experience with the architecture, processes, and tools associated with Digital Enterprise and IPDE including NX Teamcenter
  • Experience in Project Management, including metrics development, progress reporting, and driving accountability
  • Knowledge of and experience with processes and computer systems used in the material value stream for part requirements development, engineering parts list (EPL) development, demand feed generation, material scheduling, ordering, and tracking, as well as production planning/scheduling
  • Knowledge of and experience with the processes and computer systems used for scheduling, generation, and completion of design products, as well as the development of integrated master schedules for design-build programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly skilled in prioritization and consensus building to meet overall enterprise objectives
  • Highly motivated to drive completion of projects.
