SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

It is the responsibility of the Data Intelligence Analyst to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position and to provide leadership in a variety of capacities to ensure effective delivery and execution of Data Intelligence objectives. The position of Data Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collaborating with business lines on efforts to transform raw data into actionable insights that enable business value. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying and documenting business requirements, analyzing data on usability for consumption, and developing reports and dashboards in support of Data Intelligence use cases. This position will act as a liaison between the business lines and the Data Intelligence team and must be solution oriented to assist business lines as needed with data-related opportunities and issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Promote the value of the Data Intelligence Program and influence a data-enabled culture.

  • Develop a working knowledge of the Bank's organizational structure, operations, product and service offering, and data architecture including data sources, data flows, and control points and document where appropriate.

  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure data practices align with the latest standards and technologies.

  • Work with business lines to identify and document requirements for prioritized Data Intelligence use cases.

  • Assess usability and fit for purpose of data in scope for prioritized Data Intelligence use cases.

  • Support business lines with testing and validation efforts of deliverables from prioritized Data Intelligence use cases.

  • Develop reports and dashboards in relevant BI tools as needed to support Data Intelligence use cases and/or program reporting needs.

  • Support adoption of the Data Intelligence tools, solutions, and processes.

  • Elevate data-related issues, risks, and gaps and recommend solutions to the Director of Business Initiatives and/or Data Intelligence Committee.

  • Assist the Director of Business Initiatives with managing data intelligence use cases and business line onboarding as needed.

  • Support maintenance of the Data Intelligence repository (i.e. SharePoint site) by ensuring relevant artifacts such as program documentation, procedures, and Data Intelligence use case artifacts are current and available.

  • Manage projects, where appropriate, in accordance with the Bank's established project lifecycle process to include but not limited to developing and executing project plans, roadmaps, schedules, business requirements, and testing strategies.

  • Prepare reports, materials, and status updates for the Data Intelligence Committee and other meetings and/or ad hoc requests as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Data Intelligence team to achieve common objectives and complete projects timely.

  • Partner with IT, Information Security, Risk Management, and Privacy teams, as appropriate, to ensure data governance processes and projects align with standards and/or regulatory requirements of the respective area.

  • Represent Data Intelligence on committees, projects, and process forums (i.e. ARB, DCAB) as appropriate.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in data tools including data catalogs, data quality solutions, and BI platforms such as Power BI.

  • Proficiency in SQL or data platforms such as Snowflake for querying databases and developing reports/dashboards.

  • Ability and willingness to learn new and emerging technologies such as BI tools and artificial intelligence.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or Analytics, is preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in relevant banking, data, project, and/or leadership role.

  • Banking experience and knowledge of industry regulatory requirements is preferred.

  • Risk Management, Information Security, Information Technology, and/or Banking Operations experience is a plus.

  • Experience in establishing and executing business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting projects.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross functional teams and ability to develop, recommend, and implement solutions.

  • Project management experience to include developing and executing project plans and roadmaps.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

  • New employee orientation.

  • Required annual compliance training.

  • Professional development specific to job functions and subject matters supported based on approved training budget.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer and can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. This position may require periodic travel, including overnight trips, for meetings and/or training.

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $74,400.00 - $118,848.00 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
