Your responsibilities

Position Summary: The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. This role ensures the highest safety and environmental standards are met, while ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. The EHS Manager leads efforts to promote a safe work environment, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the implementation of EHS programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies and representative in audits and inspections
  • Develop and maintain a safety-first culture by promoting programs and practices
  • Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken
  • Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents and near misses
  • Oversee waste disposal including hazardous and non-hazardous waste
  • Manage environmental compliance programs including air, water and waste
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on EHS procedures
  • Ensure personnel are trained on EHS policies and procedures
  • Support energy management efforts and drive improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing EHS data, identifying areas for improvement
  • Perform regular audits of facilities, processes and system to ensure EHS compliance
  • Prepare and submit regular EHS reports to corporate management
  • Maintain accurate records of all EHS related activities and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Provide assistance to all plant personnel regarding EHS concerns and projects

Education Requirements:

Minimum of a related Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an EHS position. Three - five years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
