We are recruiting candidates for a Pipe Coverer Journeyman at our LaCygne Generating Station. Please find below a list of the minimum requirements for the position. It is important the candidates address their qualifications in the documentation submitted for consideration.

Pipe Coverer Journeyman - Applies covering to piping and other heat transfer equipment using cloth, sheet metal, and other insulating and protective materials. Removes insulation, including asbestos, as required in the maintenance of piping and heat transfer equipment. Performs other activities such as painting, lead abatement, tile and concrete work. Performs rigging, builds scaffold as well as other tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job tasks. Maintains equipment necessary to perform job. Performs other similar and less skilled work as assigned.

Experience: Five years' experience in an electrical generation power plant or similar industrial concern with at least three years' experience working as a journeyman pipe coverer or equivalent. Applicant must have successfully completed a certified pipe coverer apprenticeship or equivalent training. Successful completion of pipe coverer apprenticeship, equivalent experience, or equivalent training programs must be documented.

General: Must be licensed to drive as required by state law
