SUMMARY: Schedule work orders within the department in conjunction with the plants materials group. Work with Process Technician group leads on day-to-day activities within the department to achieve production guidelines; provide directions and motivates the Lead Process Technicians to work as a harmonious group while maintaining on-time production schedules. Assist with department time studies and scrap studies. Assist other departments when experiencing problems with molded parts. Assist with department cost improvements by improving pph standards, manning reductions, and overall efficiencies. Assist Process Technician with process-related problems. Promotes safety in the workplace, follows all safety rules, and recognizes and corrects unsafe work conditions. 50% Help establish and maintain departmental metrics for the purpose of identifying inefficiencies within the departments activities. Support departmental project groups with data and trend analysis. 15% Work with materials department to schedule work orders and make adjustments to the production schedule as necessary. 25% Maintain and improve departmental efficiencies. 5% Investigate and disposition large quantity rejects running line tests and extra inspections if needed. 5% Lead, train, develop, and motivate Process Tech Leads. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Includes employee issues, process issues, and scheduling conflicts. Decision-making includes scheduling, work appraisals, rewarding/disciplining employees, training and addressing complaints and problems. Identify performance trends within the department through analytics and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions for customer complaints both internal and external.
