What You'll Do This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027 The Total Rewards Specialist provides critical support to the Total Rewards function, partnering closely with the Sr. Total Rewards Administrators for Benefits & Wellness and Compensation & Payroll. This role is responsible for assisting in the administration, analysis, and communication of compensation, payroll, and benefits programs, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations. The Specialist serves as a resource for associates and leaders by addressing questions, resolving issues, and coordinating with vendors and internal partners.
- Support the administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, claim resolution, invoice reconciliation, document storage, document distributions and vendor coordination.
- Assist with compensation processes, including job evaluations, salary benchmarking, and annual merit/bonus cycles.
- Ensure accurate processing of associate pay, deductions, and adjustments.
- Provide responsive customer service to associates regarding benefits, compensation, payroll, and leave of absence questions.
- Maintain and audit HRIS data related to benefits and compensation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support communication efforts by preparing associate-facing materials, benefit guides, FAQs, and training resources.
- Participate in compliance activities, including ACA, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, and retirement plan reporting requirements.
- Generate reports and metrics to support analysis of benefits utilization, compensation trends, and cost management.
- Conducts I-9 verification and E-Verify processing for all new hires and manages reverification requirements in compliance with federal regulations.
- Prepares and submits the EEO-1 report by the required deadline, ensuring all data is reviewed and audited for accuracy prior to submission. Initiates and guides associate through the NMLS registration process to ensure successful completion.
- Oversee labor poster compliance by updating vendor site with location addresses, names of managers, ordering additional posters, and submitting invoices for payment.
- Conducts verbal and written employment verifications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provides required information to ADP to initiate wage garnishment withholdings and monitors ongoing compliance.
- Contribute to process improvements within the Total Rewards team to increase efficiency, accuracy, and associate experience.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and other applicable compensation and payroll requirements.
- Partner with Finance and external vendors to prepare and file required payroll tax and compensation-related reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll and compensation data.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and serve as area safety coordinator.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Monitor compensation and payroll trends and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness, efficiency, and associate satisfaction.
- Participate in annual compensation planning cycles, salary structure reviews, and incentive plan administration.
- Partner with Benefits & Wellness counterpart to ensure integration of payroll deductions, reporting, and total rewards communication.
- Support HR systems projects to optimize payroll and compensation, benefits and wellness processes.

- H.S. Diploma Required
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years similar or related experience in HR, benefits, compensation, or payroll administration required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP, Workday, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and client-service orientation
