Role and Responsibilities

The MOC Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that any new or removed components have been correctly added/deleted in the LDAR database. One of their main duties is to verify that the LDAR database reflects what is in the process unit to avoid deviations for clients.

MOC Supervisor tasks include the following:



  • Read P&IDs and understand process flow
  • Document components into the LDAR database
  • Understand regulations and permits that govern the facility
  • Communicate with operations, LDAR contacts, engineers, and Site Supervisors
  • Recognize discrepancies between the MOC description and the field
  • Attend the safety and operations portions of the LDAR meeting held each morning
  • Follow all verbal and written instructions provided by the Site Supervisor/Area Compliance Manager
  • Attend all required training to ensure certification in EPA Method 21 and proper training in all technical and legal aspects of fugitive emissions
  • Receive copies of MOC change descriptions from the Site Supervisor
  • Complete Job Hazard Analysis/Job Safety Analysis (JHA/JSA) or similar site-specific analysis prior to start of any work at each job site daily.
  • Ensure that all applicable forms are completed and turned in to the Database Administrator.
  • Document the number of added and/or deleted components associated with each MOC change order received on MOC Form or site-specific form.
  • Determine if any DORs are associated with MOCs and research repair information
  • Note any "Shutdown DOR" valves that were replaced in kind for identification and tracking in the LDAR database.
  • If no MOC work exists, follow instructions from Site Supervisor/Area Compliance Manager, including completing routine monitoring.


Required Education and Experience



  • HS Diploma, GED, or Higher

This position will pay starting at $26.00/hr
