Compensation

Annual Salary $150,000-$190,000

Job Summary

The Sully-Miller team is committed to the well-being of our employees, through compensation, work-life balance, benefits, and career development. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making processes and improve operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with operations and management teams to enhance cost control measures.
  • Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Provide financial support for capital projects and investment decisions.
  • Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals.
  • Maintain and develop internal control procedures Uphold Colas ethics and business principles
  • Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting, nance or other applicable degree
  • At least 7 years of accounting work experience is acceptable for this position
Desired Skills and Abilities
  • Construction industry accounting experience including WIP reporting
  • Strong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting standards Previous experience managing a small team Ideal candidate will have CPA and/or CMA certication
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple concurrent tasks
  • Must possess excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and MS Oce Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (intermediate level)
  • Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other enterprise construction industry software a plus
  • Highly motivated, positive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and an eective communicator
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise
  • Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
  • Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
