Sr. Architect

Tesla is seeking an Sr. Architect to work on multiple projects across Fremont Tesla automotive manufacturing facilities.This person will directly contribute to projects and our factories in a collaborative work environment. This position is on-site in Fremont, CA.

• Support the design and construction of expansions and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities in our Fremont facilities
• Responsible for developing architectural design packages for permitting and construction
• Prepare design diagrams, drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules
• Coordinate with multidiscipline project teams including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Piping/Plumbing under the guidance of Architectural lead
• Work with various manufacturing, construction, and facilities stakeholders to understand end user needs and deliver results that meet the collective team needs
• Create or update as-built and design drawings by performing site visits and field measurements and utilize and improve design standards

• Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience
• Architectural license
• Advanced proficiency in Revit. Ability to complete detailed models, coordinate disciplines, create schedules and details, work in worksets, and create families in Revit
• Understanding of how to create efficient construction and permit drawing sets
• Understanding of California Building Code Requirements and seeking construction administration experience
• Enjoy diving into technical and spatial problems and learn about manufacturing and construction while doing so
