Site Manager - Kings Bay

The Offsite Maintenance and Modernization Program Office is hiring a Site Manager for D707 Kings Bay, Georgia.

The Site Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all of Electric Boat maintenance, repair, modernization, and New Construction work in Kings Bay and other areas as required reporting to the Program Office Sr. Site Manager.

This position is responsible for managing a diverse team responsible for business development, planning execution and oversite of all aspects of work in the manufacturing shop and onboard submarines and other platforms. Cultivating and promoting a positive TEAM environment, be highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills, and drive innovation and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Candidate must possess a strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with Electric Boat and various Government organizations at all levels.

Candidate requires strong background in operations off-site work, facilities planning, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and specification interpretation.

Must be able to manage the business enterprise with updates on progress of ships, manufacturing facilities while supporting various internal and external audits.

In addition to the above, the selected candidate will also be responsible for:

Developing leadership and employees and establishing robust succession plans
• Leading knowledge transfer
• Managing the problem resolution process
• Identifying significant (including Level 1) problems
• Providing trend analysis

REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of supervisory/managerial experience with direct reports
• 10+ years of experience managing post-delivery submarine work
• 3+ years Maintenance and Modernization project experience
• Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance

Preferred:

• 10 years of supervisory/managerial experience
• Knowledge of Ship's Certification Audits
• College degree in a technical or business field
• Experience in Site/Facility Management
• Military experience

• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines
• Strong communicator with the ability to balance priorities
• Knowledge of all SSN/SSBN/SSGN platforms
