Tufts University: School of Arts & Sciences: Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora Location Medford, MA Open Date Sep 23, 2025 Description The Department of Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora (RCD) at Tufts University is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach one introductory course for the Spring 2026 semester (01/14/26 - 05/08/2026) in areas of either Native American & Indigenous Studies or Latinx Studies. Candidates teaching at the intersection of these two interrelated fields are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to transformative pedagogy and the ability to teach introductory-level courses that align with the department's mission to critically examine race, colonialism, and diaspora across local and global contexts. Qualifications Candidate must have a doctorate in a relevant field and be able to provide evidence of excellence in teaching, including evidence of creative pedagogical practice that reflects knowledge of current methodologies. Evidence of a commitment to designing curricula that address issues of equity and justice with a focus on marginalized communities.
