Pay From: $ 18.00 per hour


MUST:

1+ years expeirence .

Experience with performing testing and refractions.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical coding/billing practices.

Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with Epic is a plus.

Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.

Experience in retail sales or front desk operations is desirable.

Aseptic technique knowledge is preferred to ensure safe practices during procedures.

DUTIES:

Assist with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and verifying insurance information.

Measure and record vital signs accurately to ensure comprehensive patient assessments.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Utilize aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to ensure patient safety.

Perform preliminary eye exams and tests, including visual acuity assessments and tonometry.

Document patient information in EMR systems such as Epic, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical records.

Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care.

Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Assist with retail sales of optical products, utilizing retail math skills to process transactions effectively.

Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
