Job Title -Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Location -Home Office/Montgomery, AL

Clearance Required - Active DoD Secret (Top Secret preferred)

What You Will Do

Caddell Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). This position ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and industrial security requirements for classified contracts. You will support the secure operation of information systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the facility's security program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).



  • Manage the implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures for sensitive and classified information systems in accordance with the RMF (Risk Management Framework).
  • Maintain systems accreditations under DoD and NISPOM/DAAPM requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Security Assessment Reports.
  • Conduct system audits, continuous monitoring, and incident response in coordination with the Information System Owner, ISSOs and FSO.
  • Collaborate with government security officials, including DCSA ISSP/DAAPM, and system auditors. Collaborate with Information System Owners to understand key stakeholders' needs and provide complex technical security solutions to meet contractual obligations.


  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations of information systems, including managing security patching, antivirus updates, and media control, and ensuring proper security controls are implemented and followed.
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and evolving federal regulations.
  • Working Conditions- Full time, office setting. Occasional after-hours coverage may be required for technical support. Ability to lift 50 or more pounds, crawling, kneeling, and crouching. Work near other people, but have a few feet of space separating self from others.
  • Reporting Structure -Reports directly to Director of Information Technology.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -



  • Strong working knowledge of RMF, DAAPM, CDI and related federal security standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple security functions simultaneously in a dynamic environment.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with senior leadership and government personnel.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.


Experience:



  • 3-5+ years in industrial security and/or cybersecurity in a DoD contracting environment.
  • Previous experience as an ISSO, ISSM.


  • Working knowledge of: Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS); Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) & Risk Management Framework (RMF).


Certifications:



  • Possess an active DoD Information Assurance Manager II (IAM II) certification (e.g., CASP, CISSP, CISM). Completion of ongoing cybersecurity training via CDSE.


Security Clearance:



  • Active DoD Secret clearance required, Top Secret preferred. Must be able to obtain/maintain required clearances and eligibility for access to classified information.


  • While the salary range is typically between $111,950 - $149,300 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process.
