Distribution Manager

Wenger Corporation is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead all efforts for the Distribution, Warehouse, and transportation of product with emphasis on best practices of transportation industry, safety, quality, cost control, enhanced processes, system simplicity, and training in accordance with the business plan.

At a minimum you will need:

• Five (5) years proven business/management experience
• Three (3) years transportation industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Familiarity with transportation/warehouse management programs or other relevant programs
• Proven commitment to change and continual improvement (change agent)
• Proven abilities around team management and accountability

As a Distribution Manager a typical day might include:

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping and office teams, including finished good pickup, warehouse storage, order picking / fulfillment, loading of trailers, scheduling, and shipping product.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals
• Responsible for developing and performance to DOT and ISO standard process in warehouse and logistics.
• Lead, mentor, and coach distribution staff to build a high-performing and engaged team.
• Partner with Sales, Installation, Manufacturing, Planning, and Customer Service teams to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.
• Monitor workload, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet business demands and peak volume.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, and freight damage.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Ownership of shipping cost and profitability. Engages Carrier and Industry partners to manage performance and evaluate industry trends and impacts to Wenger Corporation. Adjust business plan, metrics, and processes to accommodate strategic trends.
• 3^rd Party Logistics partner liaison. Leads contract and rate discussions.
• Performs administrative duties such as performance reviews, salary administration, performance measurement, accident reports, employee requisitions and hiring, employee training, budgeting and other similar duties, to meet current and long-term needs in the unit and enhance employee and business growth
• Represents the Distribution & Warehousing function in cross functional partnership with purchasing, planning, manufacturing, and sales to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
• Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
