LOCATION: CHIPPEWA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL

POSITION TYPE: 10 MONTHS

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Associates degree in business, computer technology or in a related field, preferred.


  • Supervisory experience, preferred.


  • Demonstrated experience, advanced working knowledge, and evidence of proficiency in PowerSchool, required.


  • Proven experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions required.


  • Demonstrated experience with importing/exporting data, required.


  • Professional development planning and training experience, required.


  • Demonstrated experience in computer applications, required.


  • Demonstrated ability in building a master schedule, required.


  • Knowledge of standards-based report cards, required.


  • Demonstrated experience with query report writing, required.


  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member, takes initiative and problem-solving skills, required.


  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to prioritize work, required.


  • Demonstrated ability to work with tight time frames, required.


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, required.


  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, parents and administrators, required.


  • Willing to work flexible schedule, required.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Coordination of the student schedule request process.


  • Prepare staffing recommendations for central office and high school administration.


  • Build and maintain the master schedule.


  • Prepare high school teacher and student schedules.


  • Prepare high school teacher lunch schedule for both semesters.


  • Scheduling assistance to the feeder middle schools.


  • Support to the Guidance Department of scheduling issues and Power School.


  • Prepare/update seniority and staffing lists.


  • Data reporting/statistics.


  • Maintain Student/Parent Portal settings.


  • Pupil Accounting.


  • Student Attendance.


  • Clerical evaluations.


  • Student Graduation Progress.


  • Guidance Clerical.


  • Oversee progress reporting and report card processing.


  • Report writing.


  • Student transcripts.


  • Performs other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent.



This position requires the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job duties, including but not limited to understanding and following safety instructions, responding appropriately to emergency situations, completing documentation, and interacting with English-speaking staff, students, community and supervisors.
