The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Purchasing Agent Supervisor in the Purchasing and Contracting Administration Division. In this role you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and directing the work of Purchasing Agents (PAs) engaged in the creation and maintenance of fixed assets. You will also have the opportunity to furnish non-merchandise supplies, equipment, and services to Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores, distribution centers, and administrative offices of the PLCB located throughout the state. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and performing a variety of purchasing activities for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), with the exception of wines and spirits. Work involves a wide range of administrative duties such as training new employees, approving time and leave for subordinate personnel, preparing and processing performance evaluations, as well as attending job related meetings and conferences. You will also have the opportunity to oversee complex assignments, complete purchase orders for supplies, resolve contractor issues, and consult with other bureaus to advise on availability of supplies. Additional responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the automated Fixed Asset Program for Board owned equipment
- Working directly with IT personnel to resolve all problems
- Evaluating and authorizing requests for emergency purchase of supplies and repairs to equipment
- Reviewing and analyzing requests from PLCB business areas to clarify and determine needs
- Suggesting new work methods and procedures for administrative policy and productivity improvement

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. You will be required to report to the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg one day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Purchasing Agent (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, or services; or
- Four years of experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of goods; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training. Post-high school education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for purchasing or stores experience to a maximum of two years.

Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
